Bleed Design Festival
Blending design rules with
individual expression
2024 School project
Bleed is a design festival, born from the belief that design, art, and expression are not exclusive privileges but universal rights. Bleed seeks to dissolve gate keeping culture and foster an inclusive and collaborative environment where creativity can flourish for everyone, regardless of their background.
At Bleed, design is not just for designers, rather it's for everyone to explore, enjoy, and embrace.
The design for the festival is playful, combining elements from the rigid rules and best practices taught by leading design institutions, as well as the ways individuals bend them to their creativity.
For the festival, I designed a logo consisting of a wordmark and graphic mark, along with unique brand assets capturing the essence of the festival. I also created promotional materials, including posters, social media posts, banners, badges, and wristbands.
The logo captures the festival’s core message by blending design rules with individual expression.
The logo consists of a word mark and a graphic mark. The word mark has two layers: the first is a set of letter guides, symbolizing structure and shared foundations, like the writing guides we all learn from. The second layer, is composed of varied handwritten letters, which represents the public, highlighting how creativity takes shape in diverse and personal ways.
